Label Dialog

On the Admin→Preferences... dialog, you can use the Label Dialog tab to define the default settings for the Label files dialog.

User Preferences: Label Dialog tab

The controls on this tab correspond to the same controls that appear on the Label file dialog. Setting them here will determine the default settings for the Label file dialog controls when the Label file dialog is displayed.

Each field has the following meaning:

Label all children (recursive label)

This corresponds to the "Label all children" check box which appears in the Label file dialog for project-level operations. Enable this check box if you want the default behavior to be to label all files in all subdirectories with the specified label. If left unchecked, the default behavior will be to label only those files existing in the selected directory.

Reuse existing label

This corresponds to the "Reuse existing label" check box in the Label file dialog. Enable this check box if you want the default behavior to be to re-apply a previous label.

Make this a floating label

This corresponds to the "Make this a floating label" check box in the Label file dialog. Enable this check box if you want labels to float by default. If left unchecked, the default behavior will be to apply labels which are anchored to a specific revision.

Duplicate this label

This corresponds to the "Duplicate this label" field in the Label file dialog. Enable this check box if you want the default behavior to be to apply a label to all files carrying the label indicated in the "Duplicate this label" selection box. If left unchecked, the default behavior will be to apply the label to revision indicated in the "You've elected to label revision" field.
