Lock Dialog
On the Admin→Preferences... dialog, you can use the Lock Dialog tab to define the default settings for the Lock files dialog.

The controls on this tab correspond to the same controls that appear on the Lock file dialog. Setting them here will determine the default settings for the Lock file dialog controls when the Lock file dialog is displayed.
Each field has the following meaning:
Lock all children (recursive Lock)
This corresponds to the "Lock all children" check box which appears on the Lock file dialog for project-level operations. Enable this check box if you want the default behavior to be to lock all files in all subdirectories of the selected directory. If left unchecked, the default behavior will be to lock only those files existing in the selected directory.
Lock by Label
This corresponds to the "By Label" check box in the Lock file dialog. Enabling this check box will cause the "By Label" check box to be enabled by default, disabling the typical lock-by-revision option. If you want this option to be disabled by default, leave this box unchecked.
Make workfile read/write
This corresponds to the "Make workfile read/write" checkbox in the Lock file dialog. Enable this check box if you want the default behavior to be to make a file read/write after performing a lock operation. If you want the default behavior to be to leave the work file write-protected following a lock, leave this box unchecked.
