Undo Check-out

On the Admin→Preferences... dialog, you can use the Undo Check-out tab to define the default settings for the Undo Check-out dialog.

User Preferences: Undo Check-out tab

The controls on this page correspond to the same controls that appear on the Undo Check-out dialog. Setting them here will determine the default settings for the Undo Check-out dialog controls when the Undo Check-out dialog is displayed.

Each field has the following meaning:

UnCheck-out children

This corresponds to the "Undo Checkout for all children" check box that appears in the Undo Checkout dialog for project-level operations. Enable this check box if you want the default behavior to be to undo the check-out of all files in all subdirectories of the selected directory.

The selection box corresponds to the main field on the Undo Check-out dialog and offers four options. You can choose to "Break all locks," which will remove all locks on the selected file(s), regardless of who holds them. "Restore work file from archive" will cause QWin to unlock your locked revision and replace your existing work file with the default revision in the archive. "Delete the work file" will cause QWin to unlock your locked revision and delete the associated work file. "Just unlock the archive" will cause QWin to unlock your locked revision and leave the work file alone.

Whichever option you select here will become the default option on the Undo Check-out dialog.
