What's Installed

When you install QVCS/QVCS-Pro, the installation process will copy these files to your system:

readme.txt A brief introduction to QVCS.

license.txt The QVCS software license.

purchase.txt Describes how to buy QVCS.

tips.txt A file that contains the "Tip of the Day" tips that appear when you launch QWin3.exe.

upgrade.txt A file that describes the changes associated with the current release that will be of interest to users of earlier QVCS releases.

qput.exe Store (put) a revision in a QVCS archive

qget.exe Fetch (get) a revision

qlock.exe Lock a revision

qlog.exe Report QVCS archive and revision info

qident.exe Find QVCS keywords in any file

qmodhdr.exe Modify QVCS archive header info

qmerge.exe Merge separate edits of same file

qdelrev.exe Delete revisions from a QVCS archive

qmodrev.exe Modify QVCS archive info for specific revision

qdiff.exe Compare files and/or revisions

qedit.exe Apply results of qdiff to convert a file from one revision to another

qrecurse.exe Wrap other QVCS command line utilities to allow recursion of entire directory trees (QVCS-Pro only)

qstamp.exe Version stamp (label) a QVCS archive or set of QVCS archives

qunlock.exe Unlock a revision

qunstamp.exe Remove a version stamp (label) from a QVCS archive or set of QVCS archives

qvcsscc.dll The .dll that allows QVCS-Pro to be used within those IDEs that support Microsoft's SCC API. (QVCS-Pro only)

QWin3.exe Windows application that provides the functionality of the QVCS command line utilities in a single easy-to-use Explorer-like interface.

QWin3.hlp Help file.

qwin3.cnt Help contents file.

qvcsmsgf Message file used by all QVCS utilities.

SimpleTrigger.cpp Source code for a simple 'trigger' utility (QVCS-Pro only)

SimpleTrigger.exe Simple trigger program (QVCS-Pro only)

As part of the installation process, you'll have a chance to view the readme.txt file. It may contain information that supersedes the information described here.
